If I draw more chapters, they may be in black and white, but I really wish I could get the colorfeel I want. I may just not be good enough at color.

Hrm, the colors look pretty good to me. Out of curiosity, what is it about it that's putting you off?

I see, I see. It may help to make it so it looks like you want it to. I'm just bustin your ambiguous genitalia though. Big fan and all that. Keep up the good work.

Do you have an example of some art that has the look you want View?

Nnnnnope. I remember seeing a few frames of it in the closing theme of Lodoss War, but I can't find it again.

Lodoss War ?
Man, that is old school stuff.
AFAIK the backgrounds was made in watercolor.

If you want to be better at coloring, then you have to use it - There's no replacement for experience.
And you may have to mix styles of coloring to get the "feel" that you want, instead of trying to shoehorn all into one method.

On the other hand, if you *don't* want to be better at coloring ...

I think the colors look great in the landscapes and fine in the characters. I can only speak for myself, but I would love to see the coloring continue.

But the comic continuing is more important than the color continuing. :D

I grew up mostly with black and white fantasy, so the colors are a bit hard to fit correctly into my mind's eye.

No ElfQuest, View?

Even ElfQuest started out black & white.

And personally, I would like to see it continue in color too. :)
You managed to do it in Space Pulp, and I do think you can do it in Dragons & Silk too.

I really like the fireball effect--I get what you mean about colors though. I am a traditional method person but will tweak watercolor, acrylic, marker, WHATEVER over and over again.

The biggest problem is that I'm trying to be both solid and fast. If I slow down a lot, I can get better performance.

I think I need to focus on my use of tones, rather than color specifically.

Whether it's meant to show some sort of teleportation ability of warrior girl, or is simply an "animation" showing her leaping backwards, imo that effect you have in panel 4 is a master stroke!
