UGH. I spent too long not drawing and now everything's all screwed up.

I don't think wells actually go up.

Oh, I dunno, I detect an upwelling in the tension... ;)

Artesian Wells flow upwards. Not to be confused with artisanal wells although they could be both.

Oooh, View could draw an Artisanal Artesian Well!

Well, they may not go up, but staring them down is kinda futile as well.
I guess they are in-between down and up ? 😀
Possibly on the up-n-up ?

Oh, like the Grand Old Duke of York, you mean?

When they were down, they were down,
And when they were up, they were up.

All the little wooden soldiers!
don't read it with a dirty mind. 😂

Some people wear archery gloves. I put the string in the crease under my knuckles - it hurts less that way.
Yup, Yrana has uncontrollable hair and dental issues - will fixing her wells solve that? heh...

In her case, she uses a pull hook. Your skin won't hold up against a wire under that much tension.

That is a good point, and a nice little detail to put in the comic.
I do so enjoy your world building. 😀

So she's a gap—toothed woman. And maybe she likes her hair that way.

She also gets "bored easily when men start talking about their jobs
And their money
And their ex-wives and ex-girlfriends
And their trouble with their mothers and their bosses
And their alimony payments and their goddamned visitation rights"

Without googling who said that?

Considering the nearest thing to a neutral arbiter has had a caravan of locusts^W merchants sitting on her doorstop for a who know how long due to shenanigans and is looking forward to clean wells, they might find her less neutral and more short tempered than they expect.

If Tia, who a few adventures ago effortless hucked a few hundred pounds of hardwood at a hapless gang of bandits (http://dragonsandsilk.thecomicseries.com/comics/34), struggles to draw that compound bow…

Yup, that's the point!

We may have had a small conversation in the comments about that on the previous page. 🤣

But yeah, if the bow has that high of a drawstrength, it's gonna be the equivalent of a small anti-material rifle such as a Barret 50-cal. And while the arrow would move at a lot slower speeds than a bullet, it's weight is comparably higher - So it's gonna have one helluva impact.

This article I saw recently seems relevant:

Very different from what I expected.

"Grizzly" is a type of bear, "grisly" is a type of injury.

And phys.org is a type of "science" site. ;)
