I concur. Burgers in mouth! Hopefully with cheese, and bacon.

If the Wolves were hungry, will there be any burgers left?
Darn it, I was going to have a PB&J sandwich for lunch, but now I need a burger.

Giants with multiple swords; time to armor up!

Thawing a 5# hamburger chub found in the freezer. Got cheese, onions for healthy Vit C. No bread, dieting.

Cheeseburger burritos using whole wheat tortillas! Nutritious and delicious!

Grass fed 100% Angus beef patties. Topped by sharp cheddar.

And turkey bacon.

I don't eat swine. Swine are filthy animals. Samuel L. Jackson says so right here (clicky clicky).

I remember from The Nanny that bacon is Kosher, or at least close enough.

People say pigs are filthy, yet clamor for "clean" seafood that lives immersed in cesspools of their own crap. And the bottom-dwelling "sea insects"? Lobsters were once only fed to poor people and prisoners

lobster isn't kosher either...

They're just pulling in other threads and minutiae. You do that too, so don't get tweaked about it.

ShoShone
It's okay for me to do that. Because I do it better.

Oh, and I rephrased. Because I know when to rephrase. (The tone didn't look right for how I intended it. It was supposed to be flippant and light hearted. Not so serious.) Just one thing that helps mine to be better.

Yeah, it's fine. 'Tho not sure how I feel about being competitive about spitting minutiae.

.. can I bark at it then ?

ShoShone
Sure. Go ahead.

I guess barking would be better than spitting.

I must protest the accusation of spitting minutiae. But that seems more likely to be a typo.

What is or isn't minutiae can depend on how you look at it. It's subjective. So, okay. But it's not so much out of competition. It's happenstance. Just how I am.

There is rephrasing, and there is altering evidence. When changing content both strke-through and a simple "Correction:" notation are available.

BTW it is troubling you specified you were not Israeli when Kosher foods were discussed.

It's not about kosher for me.

Don't worry about evidence. This is casual. Dial it back several notches and chill out. It's not a competition.

My dad doesn’t keep kosher but he also avoids eating any pig products, as a nod to our Jewish heritage. I’m sure there’s thousands of reasons why any individual would avoid any particular food item.

Personally, I don’t keep kosher either, but I still observe some customs here and there. That’s enough for me.

There you go. You got it.

But for me it's about biochemistry. Swine and humans are too similar that way. The meat is the same. Swine and humans are two of the filthiest animals on the planet.

@Sheela

Hey!

You be nice to kitties. They're just poor babies too!

And here I thought you were a nice doggy. 🧐😟😣

Pigs are actually quite cleanly given a chance. They do have a number of parasites we can get, but with proper cooking or even freezing those can be eliminated.

I don't eat them because my religion says not to. I have tried taking it up with the Almighty. I've even offered to give up okra AND Brussels sprouts. So far the Most High is not answering my calls :(

Interesting point: A hamburger is a type of sausage originally made in Hamburg. A frankfurter is a type of sausage originally made in Frankfurt. A wiener is a type of sausage originally made in Wien (Or Vienna if you aren't Austrian or German). A gothenburger would be a type of unique sausage made in Gothenburg.

So technically, a beefburger woud be a type of sausage that originates in the German town of Beefburg?

(There is also some dispute over JFK stating "Ich Bin Ein Berliner!", and being translated as "I am a sausage!" I've heard both sides of the argument and remain unconvinced either way!)

As for the rest it sounds a bit sketchy.

I thought it meant "I am a jelly doughnut!"
since that's what 'berliner' meant. Around these parts, we call them Bismarks.

Huh. I wonder if Tia is hungry.

Good ol Guin, armoring up in case they’re unfriendlies, and a row of people armed with possibly weapons, at least one mage staff and one sword, definitely don’t seem super welcoming.

Maybe they’re statues? The row of people don’t seem to be moving either. Maybe they’re expecting somebody? Our heroes, perhaps?

*yoink* .. this recipe is now mine .. MINE !!!

I love meatpies, and this one looks mighty fine. 😁
It will be eaten, I can promise you that.

Today I ate Cod filet with cooked fresh potatoes, steamed veggies and a creamy horseradish sauce.

It's surprisingly easy to make, only the sauce is complicated.
The main thing to be aware of, is that it's a somewhat "fragile" course,
because if you add even a bit too much of any spice, it will overpower all the other flavors.

If horseradish isn't to your liking, a mushroom sauce also works wonders.

1st thought: Tia is looking (happily) funny in panel 2

2nd thought: Dust/fog around the people. Panel 5 supports the idea, especially the front of the, er, micro-cliff is sharp, thin black lines, high contrast.

3rd thought: Aww, Guin doesn't trust her plot armor. Hey wouldn't that hurt her agility?

The people look distant, yes, but how far? Guin's reaction in panel 4 suggests that they are rather far away, not obvious to notice. 150m/450ft at least?

(View, I have an idea for trying out, maybe just for yourself: Put a very light fog/dust on the front part of panel 3, because if my estimation is correct, the bottom of panel 3 should be at least 100m/300ft away, and put a weak blur on the lines on the floor and on the vertical part of the micro-cliff, for the same reason.)

Today my Observer-powers work well :) Hope you like it :)

Some armors do, but this is not one of them. It does weigh a bit, though, so she needs to be careful not to load herself down.

Thx!

(It's always the question: Can you dodge all arrows and stabs or would you rather make them ineffective?

I'm playing a game where every armor except leather helmets hurt the hero's agility. But most of the time, being the first to strike is not enough, si so I (<-Edit) rather load up armor to the limit right before it cause exhaustion while walking.)

Armor is pretty simple in this game. It's mostly a matter of your max carry weight, although the heaviest armors also reduce your agility.
