For those of you binge-reading, this page took more than a week due to work being off the rails.

... Not super happy with it, but it exists and that's quite an accomplishment this month.

I think my single favourite part of this comic is just how casual nudity is. No shame, no overt attention called to it in even formal situations.

Yeah, that's a big part of the feel.

Except by us pervy comic readers.

It's nice to see you give male toplessness and female toplessness the same nonsexual character in nonsexual situations.

YES! Me too, but it's not my single favorite part. These comics have something special, I think it may have to do with "calm", with the exception of the action scenes, but I can't really put a finger on it. Anyway, it's something good, no matter if can only feel it and have no words to describe it.

(Also, I feel less pervy here than on most other "nudist" comics. Can't really explain that, too, may have something to do with how casual the nudity is handled... and indulging the beauty of the body forms...)

'Nefarious' breach of contract to boot...that's the worst kind
they'll be doing some hard time for that...never cross a Guild ;)

"Nefarious" is the best adjective. Everything is better when it's nefarious. Vehicular assault: Deliberately trying to drive a car into somebody. Nefarious vehicular assault: Deliberately throwing a car at somebody.

What was the point of removing the robe from the magus and Lacey's shirt?

How does the kidnapping charge figure? She wasn't brought there forcibly against her will. She was there by an agreement she made with the magus. The extension of time spent there in that capacity without agreement is where the wrongdoing towards her comes into play. But that is described by wrongful imprisonment and nefarious breach of contract charges.

The torture charges are iffy. Depends on how you look at it. Or rather how she looks at it. But a good case may be made for it.

Wait a sec. What charges come into play for when magus blew tattergold into Lacey's face? Yeah, her hands were not clean but then again she didn't consent to that use. Or does her participation in nefarious affairs nullify any complaints from her?

Generally, you take away any clothes that could easily conceal weapons, magical gear, or tools.

As to the rest, the charges don't have to be right, they just have to be menacing.

I just figured a quick search would cover that. It's a simple robe (like a mu'umu'u with a hood added but no flower patterns) and a shirt. Not complicated. Any secret pockets would be quickly discovered.

Have you never been arrested? Maybe on some few occasions it happens but strip searches aren't routine.

Maybe Tia just got curious about the equipment of the magus. And Guin figured Lacey looked Better without the shirt.

And you didn't give the breakdown for what charges he may or may not face for the tattergold to Lacey's face.

I'll be waiting to see what explanation there is for Zia's activities, why ghost Guin twin was unaffected by the vacany in the focusing chamber (or how was Zia's interaction with her any different than attentions any other ghosts received) and how (if needed) did Zia deal with Dax.

Always strip a magic user...
a mage's robe could well have hidden runes worked into the fabric or have patches or seams saturated with various powders or dried liquids waiting to used...
best to gag them too ;)

Yeah, cops here just don't meet many magic users.

Lacey is a knight.

The rest stands.

Seeing as it was a magic user directing the search......

Why are your comments always so rude?

We learned earlier that silk has a magic resistant/ magic muffling effect at least as far as mental stuff goes.

Don’t want a mage you have captured trying to do something by bunching his hands under the cover of a big silk robe maybe? Might need to toss a spell at him and don’t want the chance of anything getting in the way?

As someone who "follows" some comics that have disappeared for months at a time, I am amazed at your regularity and the helpful "in progress" updates. You're doing great!

Well, either the paper is very thick, the pencil lead very soft, or that spirit has a very firm back for that writing. And since she seems stabilized, maybe that spirit will stay with that lady mage a bit longer... ;)

"Now you fuckewd up!!"

Wow this guy really tried to set the record for how much they could possibly break the rules, huh...? Well at least Ripley will be impressed with them, if not anyone else...

Talk about throwing the book at them. I was going to say I'm a bit surprised they didn't include abuse of office and bringing the guild and knights into disrepute, but I see the speech bubble continues off panel so there are plenty other charges being filed

There may be a few questions left, like (for me)
- How did Venne fix everything, especially the drowney ghost?
- Since it looks like they are (still?) at the location in the swamp, how did the guild members get there so fast?
