I'm using a gradient fill technique - I'm trying to figure out a good, fast way to do this stuff.

I can hold out that long

But only if the place is actually called 'Fores Thold' and not 'Forest Hold'

Named for its brave founder, Thold of the Fores.

There are good ways to do thing.
And there are fast ways to do a thing.
But rarely is there a good & fast way to do it.
Be careful not to use so much time on "time saving methods" that you end up using more time on them than simply using the essentials.

that said, lately I've seen a lot of good coloring from InCase's Alfie comic (NSFW), and I think he does a bit of streaming sometimes, maybe a quick way to pick up some new ideas on how to color fast ?

Thank God, checking to see if view has updated his comic has become a daily ritual for me when I get on the computer for the day. I don't know what I would have done if I had one less bookmark to click for much longer.

That being said, I really like how soft the color is here, if that's even the artistic term for it. Somehow it's better to me than bright, vibrant, in-your-face color.

There's several names for it .. subdued, washed out, low contrast high brightness ... etc. etc.

In nature it sort of happens during droughts, or just long hard summers.
Like, the tree's in Australia becomes light/dusty green by the end of the summer.

Usually it also means that they are very dry, and burns easily.

Also, fertile lands rarely go unclaimed for long, so this could be a case of "the badlands" by way of constant drought. ie. low value land.
