More zone rules.

The idea of the combat in this game is that there's an ebb and flow between stats and zones, enabled by the "rest to recover a stat" rule.

Hey view, I'm curious, is this a fully functioning game you had set up? Have you played a campaign under this system?

Not a campaign, and the rules aren't yet settled.

I like the idea that this system is mostly arguing for advantages rather than following dice.

That's the hope. I want to strike a balance between the chunky rolling of dice and the fun of arguing over numbers... without any of the excessive complexity you generally get when you do those things.

So the idea is there's a few very simple moving parts, instead. Stat spend, zones, initiative.

You should kickstart it, once you've got it all worked out.

Nah, it's more important to get it tested by other people.

I hope this story won't end (AT ALL!!!... or) with a "dream sequence" of: 4 friends just finished their DnD session. xD

No reason to do that. From the story's perspective, it's entirely true.

Hmm like this idea of zone based combat I've mostly played the more old fashioned ToG like AD&D & Rolemaster, but ths sounds like it will make combat more free flowing faster and fun. Although Rolemasters critical failure tables are always good for a laugh.

Has anyone compiled all the system rules somewhere? I'd love to look over them all at once and see if I could cobble together something playable out of what we know so far.

Me!

I have!

... but some of the rules keep changing as I think of different approaches, and I don't have firm enemy lists or anything yet.
