Unless you're a carrion eater!
Maybe it's a larder ?
But yeah, seems to be an Oozoal that died there.
Lilly seems annoyed, maybe she really is a Demon-Lilly then ?

Or is that just how we're being told that whatever died there is in infact one of her kind.

That's it, I think. Lilly is licking the tip of her tooth in a kind of empathy.

Heheh, otherwise everyone'd be thinking it was a vampire.

The spear under the corpse head's left fang in the 5th panel is interestingly echoed by Lily's tongue under her left fang in the final panel, indicating an empathic response, perhaps. The discovery that one of her own kind has been tortured and left to die in such a horrific manner may change her timid attitude after this.

This page strikes me as the strongest evidence yet that this comic is Fusion and Alys role-playing. The compulsive jewelry-fixing is a heck of a tell!

Now THAT, is an interesting theory … it's so far left field, as to almost be out of bounds!

I like it ! :)

The characters would be almost too well suited for them too... Different enough and similar enough at the same time.

The underskirt lighting on Venne has my attention.

Oh, yeah. Other revelations going on. Too. I'm beginning to think that Oozoal have an interesting tongue. If that's the case, will eventually want to see a detail of that when an opportunity arises.

Sadly I think this means they've been feeding Lily's race to the monster. Would explain her dark expression.

Actually, if you look closely, the arms are still dangling from the manacles. Basically what you have there is someone who was chained up in a dungeon and left to starve. Putrefaction of the decaying corpse has made it fall apart into the water in the cell. Which means that water is very definitely not safe to be wading in, let alone for drinking.

The flesh is green because it's decaying.

I have to say I love the fact that Lilly's eyes glow in the dark.

Also agree with Datora about the lighting under Venne!

I reckon that's the most plausible explanation, yes

Even worse, the fact that there were weapons racked up means the place was probably in use when it started flooding. Meaning there’s a good chance the just left a whole bunch of imprisoned people to drown in their cells

Quite possible. Depends how long it was flooded for...

It seems like she's becoming physically more predatory as the story unfolds.
